A well designed space should be a respite from the conditions of contemporary life. JOLA designs spaces using simple geometry and natural materials to engage the senses and promote contemplation, relaxation and play. We specialize in urban design - high-use landscapes in complex urban contexts.
Our portfolio includes plazas, streetscapes, parks, neighborhoods and recreational spaces. Site layout, planning and permitting are fundamental tools in our design process to lay the ground work for a successful project. We offer services in Hardscape Design, Planting Design, Lighting Design, Project Management, Irrigation Design, and Construction Bidding and Observation.
JOLA is a Landscape Architecture firm located in Gainesville, Florida since 1999. The firm Principal is Jackie Owens, a graduate of the University of Florida College of Design, Construction & Planning, with a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture. Ms. Owens is currently licensed in the State of Florida. Current associates include one Landscape Architect, a Project Manager/Landscape Designer, Office Manager, and one CAD Technician/Graphic Artist.
